Salt Lake City is a perfect start to a Yellowstone vacation. There are many direct flights from around the country to SLC.
From Salt Lake city, we will travel the first day to the hidden gem of Pinedale, WY, sitting below the Wind River mountains and home to 9 of the 10 tallest peaks in the state. We will explore the history of the fur trade era. It set the stage for the Oregon Trail migration.
We then continue to Jackson Hole and follow a similar itinerary to our Grand Teton Tour, Yellowstone tour, and pieces of our multi-day tours. Your guide will weave the story of the West with the incredible nature, set out a fresh and tasty picnic lunch, and take care of you so you don’t have to do any of the planning. We will finish the tour in Salt Lake. If you feel like doing something special, like horseback riding, we can set you up with our local recommendations.
We are your local experts on the ground. We will not only take care of you from the moment that we start the tour, we will also share our passion and knowledge of the Greater Yellowstone area.
This area of the West fluctuates from national parks to wilderness to small, mountain towns, so overall it is remote. The facilities are mainly outhouses. We know where all of the 5-star restrooms are in Yellowstone, so you don’t have to go in a dark and dank outhouse. Need a place to wash your hands? We’ve got you covered.
Your input ensures your guide designs each day according to your interests. You go at your pace-whether you would like to linger over breakfast or enjoy a guided hike to a backcountry waterfall.
A private tour ensures that your experience is enjoyable and unique. You won’t be stuffed in a bus with dozens of strangers and be limited to where you can navigate
Our raised-roof sightseeing vans are all windows. That means that everyone has the best seat to view the mountains as you travel through the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
Hot breakfast, a gourmet picnic lunch, snacks, and bottled water take care of your needs with us on this multi-day tour. This is one week when you don’t have to worry about adulting.
With our iPhone photo package, you’ll go home with the best photos of your vacation. Your guide will capture the best shots of your group and share the photos, so you can have your Christmas card shot.
Salt Lake City is the region’s hub. It has flights from all over the country, including many direct flights. Our guests have more flight options in Salt Lake and it allows families from different parts of the country to easily come together. Flights to and from this airport are typically the lowest cost in the region.
The city is well situated for a quick multi-day of the Yellowstone area.
You fly in, we pick you up and you fly out. In between, you can just sit back and enjoy Yellowstone as your guide takes care of everything.
Our raised roof Ford Transit vans can seat a maximum 15 passengers. We suggest max group sizes of about 10 so you are not crammed into the seats for the multi-day tour.
We prioritize guest comfort.
Salt Lake is very easy to get around. From the airport to downtown is only about fifteen minutes. Salt Lake has light rail service, Uber, etc.
